I’m an American expat living in England with my Welsh husband. This week I received my settlement Visa, aka Indefinite Leave to Remain.
This lifts a great big weight off our shoulders and means that there’s one less thing for us to worry about, that being, not screwing up my immigration status. Yay us, and onward and upward!

After 2 months of working from home, I have fended off an incipient ortopedic crisis by buying a new mouse. I was using an old Dell mouse, and having increasing problems with my wrist. I was doing some work yesterday when it finally occurred to me that computer mice aren’t supposed to squeak and that a replacement was required. A new MS basic optical mouse arrived and it’s light-as-a-feather nature has me completely charmed.

My P45 came in the post yesterday, and the only thought which went though my mind was “Oh good”. Progress
